The Durand brothers take pride in growing a good, clean crop of rice to help feed the world. Jeff began farming rice in St. Martinville in 1980, then partnered with his brothers Gregory and C.J. in 2007 to form Durand Farms. All three brothers are Certified Master Farmers – and it shows, as they have won numerous awards including the 2021 USA Rice Distinguished Conservation Achievement Award, the 2010 USA Rice Farmer of the Year and 2010 Outstanding Master Farmer. Always mindful of the environment and open to new techniques, the Durands are a wonderful example of today’s ideal rice farmers.
